Oliver convened a meeting with Tim Davie, Director-General of the BBC, to urgently raise concerns about the potential sale of BBC Elstree. Oliver was joined at Broadcasting House by Cllr Morris Bright, Leader of Hertsmere Borough Council.

As someone who was born in the area and grew up locally, I know the vital importance of protecting our green spaces. They don’t just give people the chance to enjoy the countryside and the open air; they are crucial to the character of our nation.  

Oliver has contacted the BBC to urgently request a meeting regarding the future of BBC Elstree. 

Oliver yesterday met with residents affected by the large fire on Balmoral Drive, Borehamwood.

Last Friday a huge fire affected 21 flats near the junction with Howard Drive. Oliver met with the residents to offer his continued support in their time of need.

As you may know, in June I made the decision to resign from my position as Chairman of the Conservative Party and Minister without Portfolio.

Oliver has expressed his concerns about a number of planning applications on local green land. 

With the double whammy of the pandemic’s effect on global supply chains and the war in Ukraine continuing to push prices up across the board, I know that households across Hertsmere remain under serious pressure.

Oliver opened Bushey Jubilee Acoustic Festival on Sunday. Returning after a two-year break, Mr Dowden was delighted to once again launch this local event, this time commemorating Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Oliver attended the beacon lighting at Woodcock Hill in Borehamwood to kick off a weekend of celebrations marking the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
