Christmas Card Competition 2017

Oliver  is launching a local competition for the design of his Christmas cards this year!

The competition is for all children of primary school age who live in Hertsmere, and the winning four designs will receive 100 copies of their own card and a prize.

Oliver Secures Commitment to the Future of Potters Bar Hospital

In a meeting with Herts Valley Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), the NHS body responsible for commissioning health services in Hertsmere, Oliver Dowden, Member of Parliament for Hertsmere, has secured a commitment that Potters Bar Community Hospital will be remaining open.

Oliver Opens Borehamwood Care Home

Oliver on Saturday opened the new Radley Care Home in Borehamwood.

The home has recently undergone a thorough refurbishment and Mr Dowden was joined at the ceremony by a number of residents, new staff and local councillors.

Dropping into Borehamwood Bank

Oliver last month visited the Barclays bank in Borehamwood to meet with staff and hear about the work of the branch.

Speaking after the visit Oliver said: ‘It was very interesting to meet with the staff from Barclays on Shenley Road last week.

Council Must Review Rail Freight Site after Rejection of Local Plan

Responding to news that the High Court have rejected St Albans Council’s appeal against the decision of the Planning Inspector to throw out their draft local plan, Oliver has urged the Council to use the opportunity to undertake a full review of the green belt so that all sites, including the Rad
