Oliver Pays Visit to Wroxham Primary School

Oliver last Friday paid a visit to Wroxham Primary School in Potters Bar.

The visit consisted of a full tour of the school, sitting in on lessons, and a meeting with the senior staff to discuss the future of the school.

Visiting Hertfordshire’s Adult & Family Learning Service

Oliver last Friday met with the Hertfordshire Adult & Family Learning Service (HAFLS) at County Hall in Hertford.

The meeting saw Oliver discuss HAFLS’ work with the senior managers, before having the chance to meet with people actually using the service.

Oliver meets with County Council Leader on Local Education

Oliver on Friday met with Cllr David Williams, Leader of Hertfordshire County Council to discuss education in Hertsmere.

The meeting was convened by Oliver and covered a number of issues, including primary school places in Potters Bar and a new secondary school for the Borough.

Meeting Christmas Card Competition Winner

Oliver last week paid a visit to Amy Juttla, the winner of his inaugural Christmas card competition. Amy, 11, lives in Bushey and Mr Dowden dropped round for tea with her and her family.

Speaking after the visit, Oliver said: ‘It was lovely to meet with Amy and her family on Friday.

Dropping in to Bushey’s Longwood School

Oliver on Friday visited Bushey’s Longwood School & Nursery for a tour and question and answer session with pupils.

He was quizzed for nearly an hour by pupils from Years 3, 4, 5 and 6, before being taken by them on a full tour of the school.
