Oliver Warmly Welcomed Back to Hertswood Academy

Oliver Dowden recently visited Hertswood Academy.

Oliver was joined by Cllr Morris Bright and Cllr Natalie Susman and they were welcomed by headteacher, Mr Peter Gillett.

During the visit Oliver received a tour of the school, meeting with pupils who had a number of questions prepared to ask him.

Oliver said: ‘I once again had the pleasure of visiting Hertswood Academy, alongside Cllr Morris Bright and Cllr Natalie Susman.

‘Headteacher, Mr Gillett, gave us a tour of the school, which was refurbished in 2019.

‘After the tour, I had a Q&A session with Year 13 politics students covering topics such as local crime, education and refugees.

‘It is great to see the school doing so well and it is full of bright young minds.’
