Oliver recently met with Radlett shop owners, alongside Cllr Lucy Selby regarding the appalling condition of the back area of their stores on Watling Street.

Oliver met with shop owners of Radlett Opticians, Noshers and Jennylou Flowers to discuss the issues they are having with their landlord regarding the maintenance of the outside back area of their shops.

Oliver said: ‘I was appalled by the scourge of waste left at the back of the stores on Watling Street.

The low hanging cabled and broken glass on the public stairway posed not only a real danger for residents but was also a constant eyesore.

Oliver added: Following my visit to the site, I urgently made representations on behalf of the shop owners, and I am delighted to see that it has now been cleared.

I will continue to monitor this situation and ensure that it does not deteriorate again.'
