Oliver Bakes Honey Cakes for Residents Ahead of Rosh Hashanah Celebrations

Ahead of Rosh Hashanah 2023, Oliver was thrilled to join with local residents at Shenley United Synagogue for early celebrations.

Amidst the celebrations, Oliver tried his hand at baking some traditional honey cakes while he took questions from local residents. The honey cake, which is eaten over the Rosh Hashanah celebrations, symbolises hope for a sweet year to come.

Oliver said: ‘It was a pleasure to join in with early Rosh Hashanah celebrations ahead of next week with local residents in Shenley Synagogue. I thoroughly enjoyed making some traditional honey cakes for everyone and answering some very interesting questions.

Oliver added: ‘I would like to wish all those celebrating across Hertsmere, a happy Rosh Hashanah and hope for a sweet new year. Shana Tovah!’
