Backing Plans for New Borehamwood Primary School

Oliver has given his support to a project to set up a new primary school in Borehamwood.

The commitment came when Oliver met in Parliament with Ms Rebecca Schapira and Mr Samuel Franklin, two of the leaders of the New Borehamwood & Elstree Jewish Primary School Initiative.

Pressing the Rail Minister on Oyster Extension

Oliver has met with the Rail Minister, Andrew Jones MP, to press him on the delivery of Oyster pay-as-you-go to Radlett and Potters Bar.

The extension of pay-as-you-go technology to Radlett and Potters Bar in 2019 was promised by the Department for Transport at the end of last year.

Oliver Chairs School Debating Competition as Queens’ School Reaches Final

Oliver chaired a debate between Queens’ School, Bushey and Kings Langley School as part of the 8th Watford Inter-School Debating Cup.

The two schools debated the merits of building houses on green belt land, with Queens’ arguing in favour of the greater use of green belt land.

Oliver Backs Local Shops in High Street Campaign

Oliver has called on people to support their local high streets and shop locally.

Joined by local parish councillors Viv Charrett and Estelle Samuelson, Mr Dowden dropped into shops in Radlett to speak with owners and promote independent small businesses.
