Santander recently announced that it will be closing its Borehamwood branch, located on Shenley Road, in July.

Reacting to the news, Sir Oliver said, “I am disappointed to hear that Santander will be closing its Borehamwood branch, which many of my constituents rely on.

Despite Santander’s claims of declining use, the bank was full this morning when I visited. 

Rest assured that I will be following developments closely to ensure that in-person banking remains accessible in Hertsmere. Alternative services will be available through Post Offices and nearby Santander branches in Edgware and Barnet. I will also be pushing for the establishment of a local Banking Hub and Community Bankers.”
