The Member of Parliament for Hertsmere, The Rt Hon Sir Oliver Dowden KCB CBE MP, recently visited Citizens Advice Borehamwood to meet with staff and volunteers and discuss the organisation’s ongoing work supporting local residents.
During the visit, Sir Oliver met with the CEO, Carlyn Buller, members of staff, and volunteers to talk about the challenges facing the community, including support for those experiencing homelessness, language barriers at the Jobcentre, and the growing problem of scams in the community.
Sir Oliver praised the dedication of the Citizens Advice team, who continue to provide vital help and guidance to residents across Hertsmere.
Sir Oliver said: “It was a pleasure to return to Citizens Advice Borehamwood and hear about the important work being done to support local people through difficult times.
I had a constructive discussion with Carolyn and her team about the issues residents are facing, from housing concerns to tackling scams, and I’m grateful for their tireless commitment to our community.”
Sir Oliver added: “I look forward to continuing our strong relationship and working together to ensure residents across Hertsmere can access the support they need.”
